合作导师(剑桥大学)及团队简介:
Patrick Maxwell教授,英国医学科学院院士、浙江大学医学院附属第一医院客座教授。现任剑桥大学临床医学院院长、英国医学研究委员会分子与细胞学分会主席。Patrick Maxwell院士主要研究领域是细胞对氧的反应,其研究成果表明羟基化是控制蛋白质破坏的一种新方法,且细胞中存在“氧感应器”,在Nature、Lancet和Nature Genet等顶尖杂志发表多篇学术论文。英方团队核心成员包括剑桥大学器官移植中心主任Nicholas Torpey博士和英国癌症研究所剑桥中心的Matthew Hoare博士(肝癌方向)。
联合招收博士后工作计划:
第一年,在浙江大学开展肝移植领域分子机制、调控网络、移植标准、预警标志物和精准诊治等方面的基础研究。第二年,在剑桥大学进一步开展上述肝移植领域的分子机制和防治新策略的深入研究。完成相关研究的论文撰写并在高水平期刊上发表。

合作导师(剑桥大学)及团队简介:
Nick Wareham教授,从事营养与肥胖及糖尿病病理与遗传机制研究,是营养学、流行病学及人类遗传学国际顶尖科学家。在世界优秀学术期刊包括Science (2篇); Nature Genetics (2篇)、 N Eng J Med (1篇)、Lancet (3篇);JAMA (1篇)等发表论文700余篇, H-因子122,引用超过62984次(Web of Science)。
联合招收博士后工作计划:
第一年,在浙江大学开展营养(包括微量元素)稳态代谢的分子及遗传机制研究,利用系列基因敲除小鼠模型,探索微量元素等营养物质稳态代谢的分子调控网络,以及营养稳态失衡引发糖脂代谢紊乱的分子机制。第二年,在剑桥大学进一步通过人类遗传学及分子流行病学等技术手段,探索膳食(包括微量元素)、营养代谢及遗传因素与糖尿病及肥胖发生的分子和遗传机制,完成论文撰写并在高水平期刊上发表研究成果。
二、 岗位要求
1、近三年内获得国内C9高校或第四轮学科评估A+学科或海外顶尖大学博士学位;
2、身体健康,年龄不超过32周岁;
3、有良好的学术表现及学术发展潜力,未来有志于到浙江大学从事教学科研工作。
三、 工作方式及待遇
每个岗位招聘1人。入选者在双方合作导师指导下开展研究工作,根据浙江大学博士后管理工作规定完成相应的考核,完成研究工作并达到相应学科的博士后出站要求后办理出站。在海外合作发表的学术论文及其他成果可认定为出站成果,鼓励入选者与剑桥大学高水平研究人员和合作教授联合发表论文,第一署名单位及排名不计先后。
项目资助期为2年,学校、学院和合作导师给予每人26-28万/年的资助。入选者公派赴剑桥大学工作期间,学校再给予每人10万元补充资助,其他补充资助视情况再定。入选者在资助期内享受学校学科博士后相关福利。
入选者在聘期内学术能力和业绩表现优秀者,出站后可申请学校“百人计划”或特聘研究员岗位,进入浙江大学预聘师资队伍。

Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program: Zhejiang University School of Medicine and University of Cambridge
I. Position
Position 1
Research Area: Liver Transplantation
Supervisor at Zhejiang University:
Professor Xiao Xu is the associate dean of school of medicine, the Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education and winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is also a consultant surgeon. As the executive deputy Director of the Research Institute for Organ Transplantation of Zhejiang University, his main research interests focus on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver transplantation. Dr. Xu’s major scientific findings are listed as the followings (1) Precise liver transplantation based on molecular typing of hepatocellular carcinoma; (2) Mechanisms and new prevention strategies of complications after liver transplant. Supervisor at University of Cambridge:
Professor Patrick Maxwell is the Regius Professor of Physic and Head of the School of Clinical Medicine of the University of Cambridge. He was Chair of the Medical Research Council’s Molecular and Cellular Medicine Board until 2017. The principal thrust of his research is in transcriptional control of genes by oxygen. Professor Patrick Maxwell has published many papers in Nature、Lancet and Nature Genet. The main members of the Cambridge team include Dr. Nicholas Torpey, who is the clinical director of Cambridge Transplant Centre, and Dr. Matthew Hoare, who comes from the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.
Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):
Year 1: Work with Prof. Xiao Xu at Zhejiang University on molecular mechanism, regulatory network, transplantation criteria, early warning markers and accurate diagnosis and treatment of liver transplant.
Year 2: Work with Prof. Patrick Maxwell and Dr. Nicholas Torpey at University of Cambridge on molecular mechanisms and new strategies for prevention and treatment of liver transplant. Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication.

Supervisor at Zhejiang University:
Fudi Wang, M.D., Ph.D.,Qiushi Chair Professor, Director of Institute of Nutrition and Food Safety, Zhejiang University. Former Dean of School of Public Health, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Dr. Wang holds several high profile national honors, including National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program, The Scholar for State Project of “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents”, Leading Talent Youth Investigator for The National Ministry of Science and Technology, National Distinguished Young Scientist from China National Nature Science Foundation, and The Scholar of the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Scientific Focus Areas:1) Elucidating molecular regulatory mechanisms of metal homeostasis (Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Copper, etc.) by using genetically engineered mouse and zebrafish models; 2) Epidemiological studies of metal (Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Magnesium, etc.) homeostasis in chronic human diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's diseases; 3) Human genetics and genomics for personalized nutrition.

Supervisor at University of Cambridge:
Prof. Nick Wareham is the Director of the MRC Epidemiology Unit and co-Director of the Institute of Metabolic Science. He is also the Director of the Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR) and the Global Diet and Activity Research Group and Network (GDAR).
His principal research interests are the aetiology and prevention of obesity and diabetes, and he co-leads the Aetiology of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders Programme with Dr Claudia Langenberg. He is an Honorary Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
Nick was formerly a Welcome Trust Senior Fellow in Clinical Science in Cambridge. He qualified in medicine from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London, and trained in epidemiology and public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, Harvard University, Boston, USA and at the University of Cambridge. Nick was Chair of the NICE Programme Development Group on the prevention of prediabetes. In 2009 he was a member of the WHO Expert Group on the classification and diagnosis of diabetes.
Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):
Year 1: Working with Prof. Fudi Wang at Zhejiang University to study molecular and genetic mechanisms of trace elements (including iron, zinc or manganese) homeostasis by using knockout and knockin murine models.
Year 2: Working with Prof. Nick Wareham at University of Cambridge to explore dietary and genetics factors for obesity and diabetes by using human genetics or epidemiological approaches. Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication.
II. Eligibility
1. A Ph.D. degree within the recent three years from domestic C9 universities, or from “A plus” disciplines of the fourth round of national discipline assessment by China Academic Degree & Graduate Education Development Center, or from top overseas universities.
2. The applicants shall be under 32 years old, of good moral character, and in good health.
3. Good academic performance and research capability. Interested in teaching and research positions at Zhejiang University in the future.
III. Assessment requirements and Funding
One quota for each position. The selected candidates will carry out research work under the guidance of the cooperative supervisors of both universities. The candidates shall fulfill the corresponding assessments according to the post-doctoral management regulations of Zhejiang University, complete the research work, and reach the post-doctoral requirements of the corresponding disciplines. The selected candidates are encouraged to jointly publish articles with professors at University of Cambridge. Academic papers and other achievements published together with professors at University of Cambridge can be regarded as the achievements of the postdoctoral program.
The selected candidates will be funded for two years. The full salary will be 260,000-280,000 RMB per year from Zhejiang University, School of Medicine, and supervisor. An additional grant of 100,000 RMB will be supplied during the period of work at University of Cambridge by Zhejiang University. Selected candidates will also enjoy the benefits of the common postdoctoral program at Zhejiang University in projects application.
Qualified selected candidates may apply for the “Hundred Talents Program” or Distinguished Research Fellow (ZJU tenure track positions) after completion of the program.
IV. Application Procedures
