因学院发展和工作需要,北京大学国际法学院图书馆招聘行政助理1名。国际法学院将为获聘者提供一个气氛融洽的、双语的、合作性的工作环境,让获聘者的个人能力和潜力在跨文化的职业发展平台中得到全面挖掘和提升。

该职位为法律图书馆提供行政管理支持并向代理馆长汇报。在助理馆长的监督下,行政助理负责各种日常运营,包括流通、馆藏发展、客户服务、监督学生助理,以及协调各部门沟通与合作、设施维修等。法律图书馆为国际法学院提供专业的信息资源服务。北大国法现有近500名研究生学习美国和中国法。

主要职责为:

参与和执行流通台的各样工作,任务包括:借还资源,续借图书,帮助用户注册并预留资料,读者登记等。确保图书馆的正常开放并提前安排好学生助理的值班时间。评估流通操作流程,并根据需要进行调整以提高效率。

向读者提供有关图书馆服务的信息。解答用户有关图书馆各样服务与活动问题。

协助和指导读者使用图书馆服务、设备和设施。

定期检查和更新图书馆的网站信息。

每天检查和处理各类图书馆的电子邮件。

收发图书馆的纸质邮件和包裹快递。

整理组织图书馆材料及文件。

订购图书馆用品。检查和维护流通设备。

为用户提供馆际互借服务。把图书馆材料传递给教授及/或者在有需要时为教授们传递材料。

协助加工图书馆资料(编目、贴标签、标记等)。

协助进行馆藏资源评估。

严格遵照流通部的条例条规并协助图书馆的整体运行。

安排和监督学生助理的日常工作。

设计和更新图书馆的宣传资料。

承办图书馆各类活动,如图书馆介绍和参观,并根据读者的要求为特殊活动安排空间。

向主管报告工作进程。

与同事、主管和公众建立并保持有效的工作关系。

执行其他分配的任务。

职位基本要求:

本科及以上学历。

熟练的普通话。

能够胜任工作上需要的英语阅读、写作及会话能力。

优秀的待人接物及交流技巧。

积极性高,抗压能力高、多任务管理、注重细节。

具备以下资格将被优先考虑:

图书信息专业毕业。

熟悉图书馆的各项基本业务和流程。

具在学术研究或者教育机构工作的经历。

具有中国法及/或者美国法的知识。

PEKING UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF TRANSNATIONAL LAW (“STL”) in Shenzhen, China seeks a creative and motivated individual for the position of the Executive Assistant of STL Law Library. STL offers an engaging bilingual and collaborative working environment, which will hone and promote the candidate’s abilities to work in a cross-cultural professional environment.

Position Objective

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the Executive Assistant of Library performs a variety of tasks including circulation, collection development, customer service, supervision of student assistants, and coordinates facility maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs circulation desk procedures, such as check-in/check-out materials, renewal, holds and patron registration. Ensures law library is open regularly and circulation desk is staffed appropriately. Evaluates circulation operating procedures, and makes adjustments as needed to improve efficiency.

· Provides patrons with general information on library services; assists and instructs patrons in using library services, equipment, and facilities.

· Checks and updates library’s website--LibGuides regularly.

· Checks and processes all kinds of library emails daily.

· Sorts and routes mail.

· Organizes library materials and files.

· Orders library supplies. Maintains performance and order or repair of circulation equipment.

· Delivers library materials to faculty and checks in deliveries of interlibrary loan materials.

· Assists in the processing (cataloging, labelling, tagging, etc.) of library materials.

· Assists in conducting collection evaluations.

· Assists in enforcing library circulation policies and library rules and regulations.

· Supervises and works with student assistants.

· Designs and updates library promotional materials.

· Helps organize library events, such as library orientation and tour, and schedule space for special events by patron’s request.

· Reports work accomplished to directors.

· Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors and the public.

· Performs other tasks as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or above.

· Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

· Working proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Highly motivated and able to work under pressure and multi-task management; detailed-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

· A degree in Library and Information Science.

· Knowledge of basic library materials, policies and procedures.

· Previous work experience in an academic institution.

· Knowledge of Chinese and/or US law.

Location:

University Town, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China.
