“可解释机器学习医学应用”研究组，以机器学习与医学的交叉研究为研究领域，现面向国内外招聘博士后一名。

一、研究组介绍

研究组着重发展可解释机器学习算法在医疗大数据中的应用，项目带头人傅君芬教授为浙江大学附属儿童医院常务副院长，AndrePython博士为浙江大学数据科学研究中心百人计划研究员。申请人的主要工作负责发展和评估可解释统计算法与机器学习算法构建医疗大数据模型。主要目标是发展能够探索代谢疾病与健康风险因子之间非线性关系的研究方法。研究结果可为临床医生诊疗和干预决策提供数据基础。申请人将通过以下途径验证新研究方法，包括：（a）研究结果的表现性，计算效率和可解释性；（b）研究方法可以强健应对模型误判问题；（c）与相关临床专家进行沟通。

二、具体要求

1.近期获得计算机学、统计学、数学或其它与人工智能、机器学习相关的博士学位。

2.具有较强的编程能力，良好的统计学、机器学习或人工智能知识背景。具备良好的英语与汉语交流能力。具有空间统计学、Template Model Builder以及 PyTorch背景的申请人优先考虑。

3.工作地点为中国杭州浙大数据科学研究中心与浙江大学医学院附属儿童医院临床研究团队所在地，合同期为3年，工作可在该信息发布之日起随时开始。

三、薪酬待遇

1.年薪：税前28-32万。

2.在站期间可申报助理研究员资格；在站满3年或一站期满出站直接进二站并满1年，可申报高级专业技术职务资格。

傅君芬教授，浙江大学二级教授、博导，求是特聘医师，国家卫生健康突出贡献中青年专家，现任国家儿童健康与疾病临床医学研究中心副主任，亚太儿科内分泌学会秘书长、中华医学会儿科学分会内分泌遗传代谢学组组长、中国医师协会青春期医学专业委员会副主委、中国儿童糖尿病协作组副组长。近年围绕儿童肥胖代谢性疾病展开了一系列创新性研究。主持国家重点研发计划重大慢性非传染性疾病防控研究、国家自然科学基金、国家科技支撑计划课题，省科技厅重大专项等课题30余项。成果获国家科技进步二等奖1次，妇幼健康科学技术成果二等奖1次，浙江省科技进步一等奖1次，浙江省医药卫生科技创新奖一等奖1次。参与国际诊治指南修订5项，牵头中国专家共识9项，牵头全国多中心临床研究15项。发表论文200余篇，SCI收录80余篇，包括相关领域权威期刊 Diabetologia、JCEM等，获得发明专利和软件著作权10余项。牵头中国-新西兰慢性非传染性疾病研究合作项目，牵头创建国际儿童糖尿病精准诊疗中心，多次受邀在国际重要会议上做大会报告及专题讲座和主持，是国内儿童肥胖及代谢性疾病研究领域的领军人才，具有较高的国际影响力。

Andre Python博士，浙江大学百人计划研究员、博导。先后在英国牛津大学、帝国理工大学、圣安德鲁斯大学、瑞士洛桑大学、弗里堡大学等国际顶尖大学工作学习多年，目前在浙江大学数据科学研究中心工作。先后师从瑞士著名气候变化研究专家Martin Beniston教授和德国统计学专家Janine Illian教授。主要研究领域为贝叶斯统计学和机器学习算法，挖掘具有空间分布特征的大数据隐藏机理，开展空间统计学在流行病学、医学、地理、环境、经济、社会学等领域的应用研究。系列成果已发表在多项国际著名期刊，包括Science Advances, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A (JRSS), JRSS: Series C, Journal of Conflict Resolution, PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, Small等，数次受Significance杂志主编邀请刊发个人研究工作，并由Taylor & Francis集团旗下CRC出版社与美国统计学会（ASA）联合出版英文著作一部。参与和主持多项国际科研项目，包括英国工程与物理科学研究委员会、欧洲研究理事会、比尔盖茨梅琳达基金会、苏格兰基金会以及浙江大学研究基金等。其研究成果先后为联合国、爱尔兰以及巴拿马等南美、非洲多个国家政府健康计划采纳。2019年，作为全球14名获奖者之一，Python博士获得亚马逊公司“AWS机器学习奖金”，以激励其在应用贝叶斯研究领域的发展。

Postdoc Position on Interpretable Machine Learning Methods for Medical Applications

The research group “Interpretable Machine Learning in Medicine” is seeking to appoint a postdoc working on the intersection of machine learning and medical sciences. The project is led by professor Junfen Fu, Dean of The Children’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University and Dr. Andre Python from the Center for Data Science, Zhejiang University.

Location: Hangzhou, China

Salary: CNY280,000 to CNY 320,000 per annum before tax

Research questions

Our mission is to develop interpretable machine learning algorithms mainly applied to medical data. Your primary focus will be to develop and evaluate interpretable statistical and machine learning algorithms applied to medical data. The main goal is to develop methods for discovering non-linear associations between risk factors and metabolic diseases. The results aim at helping medical doctors design and implement efficient interventions. You will evaluate your methods by: (a) the performance, computational efficiency, and interpretability of the results; (b) the methods’ robustness to model misspecification; and (c) interacting with experts in the relevant medical field.

The position

The successful applicant should hold, or about to obtain a relevant Ph.D. degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or disciplines related to AI or machine learning and should have strong programming skills, and a solid background in statistical theory, machine learning, or artificial intelligence. Preferences will be given to candidates with knowledge in spatial statistics, R-INLA, Template Model Builder, and PyTorch. An initial contract will be given for 3 years, starting at any time from the date of the publication of the job advertisement, with the possibility of subsequent extensions. Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.

Work location

The project will be mainly based at the CDS, but will also include work with medical doctors from the Children’s Hospital. Zhejiang University is a public research university, member of the elite C9 League and recognized as one of China's oldest, most selective and prestigious institutions of higher education. Zhejiang University is located in Hangzhou, which is the capital and most populous city of Zhejiang province, People's Republic of China. Hangzhou has been one of China's most renowned and prosperous cities for much of the last millennium. Its West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site immediately west of the city, is among its best-known attractions.

The Children’s Hospital is the largest tertiary hospital and the most comprehensive center of pediatric healthcare in Zhejiang Province. In 2019, the Hospital Management Institute at Fudan University, China ranked the Children’s Hospital third at national-level. The CDS is a university-level, cross-disciplinary platform that include statistics, applied mathematics, computer science and management. The CDS focuses on the academic research on complex data, including statistical theory and applications, machine learning, and algorithm design.
