Job Description
Two NIH/DOD funded postdoctoral research fellowships are available immediately in the Department of Surgery-Molecular Oncology Program at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center with the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. The Postdoctoral Associates will study novel WNT pathway transcriptional mechanisms in breast cancer that drive cell lineage reprogramming and cancer stem cell differentiation during metastatic tumor progression, using human cellular and mouse in vivo models of breast cancer.
The positions are for highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals, who have critical thinking abilities, hands-on technical expertise, and good writing skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in a life science field of study such as Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Immunology; or M.D. Previous research experience in epigenetics, NSG analysis (ChIP-Seq; RNA-Seq), protein-protein interaction studies, proteomics (MassSpec), and/or mammary stem cell analysis is highly desirable. Excellent computer, organization and problem solving skills, and a good command of the English language (both verbal and written) are also required. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
