The benefits of working in Denmark

Denmark is among the best countries in Europe to offer the opportunity to pursue a career while maintaining work-life balance. The Danish society builds on a welfare system which means your taxes are allocated to extensive welfare services such as free healthcare, inexpensive child-care, and free education. Taxes in Denmark are considered high but international academic staff can, in general, benefit from a special tax scheme for the first 7 years of working in Denmark. In addition, collective agreements guarantee a safe workplace, paid parental leave, fair wages, pay during sickness, flexible work hours and much more.
