Postdoctoral Fellow 3D X-Ray Ptychography (80 % - 100 %)

Your tasks

In this project we target a new record resolution in 3D X-Ray ptychography. This will require detailed numerical simulations to then perform measurements in best-possible experimental conditions of various sample systems using our state-of-the-art instrumentation. Besides such simulations your main task will be to acquire, reconstruct and analyze the obtained data, and to find and overcome issues currently limiting resolution. It is to be expected that this will require further development of our reconstruction algorithms.

Your profile

PhD degree in physics or in a related field

You enjoy spending time analyzing complicated datasets, and ideally you have some experience with ptychography or diffraction data

Good programming skills (ideally matlab, C)

Experience with analysis of large datasets, in particular for tomography, is an advantage

Self-motivated team player, able to work independently

Good command of English is required (spoken and written) as well as very good communication skills
