丹麦哥本哈根大学2021年招聘博士后职位(运动控制和神经科学方向)

Post-Doc in Motor Control, Brain Plasticity and Aging

Copenhagen University

Description

The Department of Nutrition, Exercise, and Sports (UCPH), Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral fellow. The 3-year position will be filled on 1 October 2021 or as soon as possible after that.

Information aboutNEXScan be found at https: // nexs.ku.dk/english/

AboutUs The Movement & Neuroscience research group is part of the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports (NEXS). The groups' research is focusing on neural mechanisms of motor control, motor learning, and brain plasticity across the human life span. Currently, the group includes three associate professors, two post-docs, and seven PhD-students.

Job Description: The position is part of a multi-year project investigating dynamic reconfigurations in large-scale brain networks. The project is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) under the Sapere Aude Research Leader program (PI: Anke Karabanov). As part of the project, the postdoc will investigate how age impacts the flexibility and stability of brain networks during the acquisition of a new motor skill using functional magnetic resonance imaging and graph theory analysis. The experiments are conducted in close collaboration with the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR) at Hvidovre Hospital. The postdoc will pilot and run fMRI experiments and analyze their results. Experiments will focus on the acquisition of a novel fine motor skill but will also include testing of cognitive performance and physical fitness. Results from the project are expected to appear in reputable academic journals and to be communicated to key stakeholders in the wider society. In addition to the research tasks, the postdoc will contribute to the research environment at NEXS and DRCMR through participation in research seminars and scientific discussions. The postdoc will also take an active role in teaching duties in human neurophysiology courses and co-supervision of bachelor's and master's theses.

Requirements The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Human Physiology, Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Science, or similar. The successful candidate also has experience within motor control and/or neuroscience of aging and is familiar with conducting and analyzing neuroimaging experiments – preferably using fMRI. Additionally, the candidate should have strong analytical data skills and an interest in brain plasticity, learning, physical activity, and aging.
