美国加州大学洛杉矶分校2022年招聘博士后(免疫学、细胞分子生物学方向)
UCLA
UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM)
The laboratory of Dr. Elaine F. Reed is seeking applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position within the Division of The Immunogenetics Center, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM), at the University of California, Los Angeles. DGSOM is one of the most renowned public medical schools ranking 3rd in the US and UCLA is the #1 ranked US public University. The lab is part of the Immunology, Inflammation, Infection and Transplantation Research Theme (I3T) located in the state-of-the-art South Tower CHS research building known for its multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment. As a curiosity-driven transplant immunology lab, we are broadly interested in uncovering novel mechanisms of allograft injury across transplanted organ types and immune responses to pathogen/vaccines in immunocompromised patients. The candidate will benefit from a highly collaborative and diverse team of investigators at UCLA including experts in immunogenetics, immunology, transplantation, infectious disease, biostatistics, and computational immunology at the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, the fellow will interact with leading experts in transplantation nationwide in the context of multi-site projects under active Clinical Trials in Organ Transplantation (CTOT) studies.

Available Funded Projects:
1. Define the structural requirements for complex formation and functional crosstalk between HLA and TLR co-receptors in mediating endothelial cell activation and monocyte recruitment and polarization using in vitro assays and a novel in vivo model of heart transplant that develops cardiac allograft vasculopathy.
2. Determine the role of HLA and Non-HLA antibodies in allograft injury and transplant rejection and define the impact of therapeutic interventions on vascular inflammation.
3. Characterize the cross-talk between innate and adaptive immunity before, during and after transplantation and establish the efficacy of therapeutic blockade on mitigation of allograft injury.
4. Use systems immunology approaches including multiparameterimmunophenotyping, transcriptome, cytokines, leukocyte functional status, and statistical and computational biology to define altered host:pathogen interactions in COVID-19 and CMV infection.
Qualifications:
The candidate, should have a recent PhD and/or MD, and a strong background in immunology, molecular and/or cellular biology. The candidate must be skillful in common immunology and molecular laboratory techniques including flow cytometry, solid phase assays, cell culture, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, and fluorescence microscopy. Though not required, bioinformatics and computation skills are highly desirable. The candidate must have strong written and oral communications skills, be highly motivated, intellectually creative, able to work independently, and function well as part of a team. Candidates will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects and expand novel independent research projects in a collaborative research environment.
How To Apply:
Interested candidates should submit their CV as well as cover letter indicating how their past research experience, interests, and goals relate to the activities of the laboratory. The letter should also include the names and contact information for three references. Please submit to: Dr. Elaine F. Reed by email (ereed@mednet.ucla.edu).
